Big Data is changing the way many organsiations think about the way they do business. This is true for large organisations and enterprises as well as smaller organsiations with limited resources.
How does it apply to business? Tomorrows’ breakthrough will be invisible. They are the ones that fit well into our lives and change the way we do things inadvertently. The reality is, when computing anticipates our needs we don’t even notice it.
Insights can be found everywhere with regards to any aspects of a business; customer behaviour, sales optimisation, risk management, operations and more.
But how does data creates insights? Microsoft Australia’s Data & Analytics Specialist Travis Sansome addresses this question in this PowerBI demo session at Telstra’s Customer Insights Centre in Sydney.

Notes from the PowerBI session
The new PowerBI version is continuously updated and reinforced by the engineering team at Microsoft. PowerBI give you great visualisation functionalities for your data in the form of interactive dashboards, custom reports and drag-and-drop data sets.
Access the content library to populate your dashboard. Data comes directly from your back-of-office systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Google Analytics, Salesforce, Marketo and many more. Or upload your Excel spreadsheets. Data can also be streamed live so your staff, customers and other various stakeholders can get an instantaneous view of what matters to them.
Setup alerts and reminders to advise of any significant change in your data, such as sales level exceeding pre-set limits.
How does Microsoft PowerBI differentiate from the competition?
- Q&A functionality can help you interact with your Business Intelligence dashboard by asking spontaneous questions.
- Drive faster insights with Quick Insights to run different algorithms and better understand your data.
